Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, we require registration for all services.

  • Yes, our services are open to the community.

  • While Beth Chaim does not charge for High Holiday tickets, we appreciate your donation to the High Holiday Appeal so that we can continue to bring you and your family our wonderful spiritual, educational, cultural, and social programs. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

  • Yes, tickets are required for admission.

  • A confirmation email will be emailed to you upon completion of registration. The email has a graphic at the top that says high holiday ticket with your registration details. Please show this email at the door or print a copy of it to hand in for each service you are attending.

  • Some of our services will be available by Zoom or streaming on our website. Rosh Hashanah Under the Stars, Rosh Hashanah Community Service, Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur Community Service, Reading of Jonah, Yizkor, and Neilah are all available by Zoom.

  • Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to services.

  • Yes. Please note that BCRC takes security very seriously. If needed, please follow all security instructions for the safety of us all.

  • We have overflow parking at Philadelphia Memorial in back of Beth Chaim. At the back of the parking lot, you will see a driveway that goes to the overflow parking at Philadelphia Memorial. There is a bridge near the overflow parking to walk back to Beth Chaim.

  • Rosh Hashanah Under the Stars is a more casual, outdoor service. Please dress comfortably to sit outside.

  • Please bring your own lawn chair.

  • The service will move indoors to our Sanctuary. As long as you registered for the service, you will be notified ahead of time by email.

  • It is scheduled to begin around 5:00 pm on Yom Kippur day, 9/25. It will begin immediately following the reading of the Book of Jonah and the afternoon service.

  • Yes, submissions are due by 9/13, emailed to administrator@bethchaim.net. Instructions for submission are on our website. We will not use tributes from prior years and tributes received after 9/13 will not be included this year.

  • Yes, Break the Fast is back in person this year. It is $24 per adult and $12 per child. Registration is required ahead of time and you can access the registration from our website. The deadline for registration is Monday, September 11th.
