Schmata Productions

Beth Chaim Schmata Productions is a community youth theater group affiliated with Beth Chaim Reform Congregation.  BCSP was formed in 2007 and has presented youth oriented plays each year since its formation. Cast members (children in grades 4-12), crew, and other volunteers consist of interested and talented individuals from all walks of life from inside and outside the congregation.  Past productions include Fiddler on the Roof Jr. (2008); Aladdin, Jr. (2009); Seussical, Jr. (2010); and Once of This Island, Jr. (2011).  This season BCSP will present Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Jr. (May 2012).  BCSP cast members have competed in and received awards from the Access Broadway theater competition.

BCSP additionally runs a summer theater program providing children with an interest in theater the opportunity to develop and hone their skills under the supervision of the company’s creative directors.
